Entries, developed by persons from younger and older generations, should be in the areas of poetry, photography, essays, and dance and celebrate the legacy and love of nature that Rachel Carson so eloquently embodied. Mixed media entries are welcome as well, such as a photo accompanied by a poem or an essay. The Internal Revenue Service is alerting more than four million small businesses and tax-exempt organizations about the benefits of the recently enacted small business health care tax credit.
The credit, which takes effect this year, is designed to encourage small employers, including tax-exempt organizations, to offer health insurance coverage for the first time or maintain their current coverage.
The IRS has also released a new form that will help employers, including tax-exempt organizations, claim the special payroll tax exemption that applies to many newly-hired workers during 2010. To learn more, click here.
Have We Got an Opportunity for You! KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy Charter School (KDCA), an open-enrollment public charter high school, seeks an Office Manager. KDCA will open with 130 new ninth graders in August of 2010 and grow one grade level at a time for the next four years. At full capacity, KDCA will serve 520 children in grades nine through twelve. The Office Manager works directly with the staff, students, and parents and is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operation of the school office.
