Rennie Cohen— Lead Trainer
Rennie’s innovative work as director of Philadelphia’s Center in the Park provides a dynamic example of what a community center for older adults can be. Under her leadership, environmentally-inclined members participated in a project to monitor streams; the center teamed up with a literacy program to provide one-on-one tutoring and adopted a near-by elementary school. This school adoption included members’ listening to kindergarteners read and home-bound members’ becoming pen-pals with second graders. Rennie serves on the board of the National Center for Creative Aging as well as the steering committees of Coming of Age and the Philadelphia Creative Arts and Aging Network. With over 30 years experience in the field, she has devoted her life to exploring ways that civic engagement, lifelong learning, and community service can become exciting and meaningful opportunities for older adults.

Jean Williams
When Jean served as director of the Newark, DE Senior Center, it became the first center in that state to be accredited by the National Institute on Senior Centers (NISC), received the Best Practices award from the Delaware Association of Nonprofit Agencies, and saw its attendance increase 78%. The increase in attendance led to a major physical expansion. The center now includes a swimming pool, fitness enter, computer lab, exercise areas and classrooms.  Jean's interest in helping people 50+ explore and design the next stages of their lives led her to work with Scott Martin (see below) to develop a "Life Options Conference," which has been held for the last four years in Delaware. Currently, Jean is co-chair of the NISC Accreditation Board and provides consulting services on elder-related issues throughout the Northeast.

He also is a frequent contributor to the Charity Channel's Volunteer Management Review and trains nationally as part of the Temple University Center for Intergenerational Learning Training Network.

Amena Johnson
Amena is the former Training Manager of the Temple University Center for Intergenerational Learning Training Network.  She also has served as the Program Manager for the Delaware region of the National Conference for Community and Justice, where she developed and facilitated curriculum on bias and racism.
