3-Day Learning Lab: ATTEND ALL 3 DAYS FOR MAXIMUM BENEFIT

In this intensive 3-day training program, you will learn how to:

  • Draw on the talents, skills, and passions of people age 50+ 
  • Craft compelling opportunities that will appeal to them 
  • Develop effective ways to market your opportunities 
  • Manage your intergenerational workforce 
  • Create a doable, outcomes-driven Action Plan

COURSE DESCRIPTION 

Capturing the Energy and Expertise of People Age 50+, the Learning Lab can help your community do more with less by tapping a valuable, underused, and growing resource: the passions, talents and skills of those over the age of 50. The Learning Lab offers new ideas and insights to increase the capacity of our nonprofits and other agencies.

The three-day, in depth training, is led by experienced trainers knowledgeable about managing change in organizations and nonprofit-capacity building. Participants come away with new insights, as well as realistic, actionable plans. Presentations, discussions and hands-on activities ensure that participants are able to apply the concepts they learn to the specific needs of their organizations.

Program is designed for volunteer managers, human resource staff, executive directors, board members and others who want to:

As part of its evaluation of the outcomes of the Shepherd’s Center Central Coming of Age: Kansas City we ask that each nonprofit organization scheduled to attend the Learning Lab 3-day intensive provide the information below:

1. Information requested prior to attending your 2009 Learning Lab:

* Number of volunteers actively serving your organization as of August 1, 2009.
* Number of volunteers who are age 50+.

2. Information that will be requested of your organization at the end of 2010:

* Number of volunteers actively serving your organization as of December 31, 2010.
* Number of volunteers who are age 50+.
* In retrospect, did your organization find the Learning Lab useful?
* As a result of the Learning Lab, how many new volunteers age 50+ were you able to recruit?

3. CONFIDENTIALITY and OWNERSHIP

* The parties agree that designs, manuals, templates, specifications, processes, diagrams, computer programs, technical reports, product plans and documentation, whether tangible, intangible, written, machine readable or in other form (all hereinafter called “Confidential Information”), which may be furnished by Temple to Shepherd’s Center Central are and shall remain the sole property of Temple.

* TEMPLE shall own any and all ideas, concepts, know-how, methods, techniques, processes and skills which TEMPLE or its personnel create before or while performing Services. All proprietary ideas, methods, inventions, discoveries, information, manuals, templates, designs, specifications, processes, diagrams, computer programs, reports, documentation and other proprietary or protectable matters (Materials) presented and provided in conjunction with the Services provided under this Agreement are and shall remain the sole property of TEMPLE. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Shepherd’s Center Central shall have the right and license to create, retain, disclose and use the Materials provided to Shepherd’s Center Central by TEMPLE in providing services to its constituency.

We agree to provide the information requested in items #1and #2; and further agree to all the terms and stipulations of item #3 as a condition of our participation in Shepherd’s Center Central Coming of Age: Kansas City Learning Lab.
