Rennie Cohen


I’m Rennie Cohen.  I serve on the executive committee of the American Society on Aging’s educational unit LEARN, the board of the National Center for Creative Aging and the steering committee of the Creative Arts and Aging Network in Philadelphia.
 
I have over thirty years experience working on older adult community services issues, with 29 years of that time spent as Executive Director of Center in the Park, a senior center in Germantown.  I have worked on behalf of seniors on local, state and national levels, including co-chairing Pennsylvania’s Senior Center Task Force from 1988 to1993.
 
I am a consultant for Aging Positively and the Coming of Age initiative, through which I am exploring ways that civic engagement, lifelong learning and community service can become exciting opportunities for retirees.
