Capture a Neighbors story as an Oral History Volunteer
We are looking for Oral History volunteers to collect the stories of our Rebuilding Day clients, which are often low-income seniors, adults with disabilities and multi-generational families. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse population and make an impact in the lives of individuals across San Francisco.
- Visit or Call a client who has allowed us to interview them about their lives. - Use a list of questions from Rebuilding Together to guide the conversation. - Write up a one to two page article about the client using their answers and give it to Rebuilding Together San Francisco.
• Great communication skills • Strong writing & editing skills necessary • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word • Comfortable speaking with diverse people • An interest in the living history of San Francisco
• Opportunity to meet a diverse group of individuals and learn about the living history of San Francisco. • Have your work posted on our blog and used to motivate groups of volunteers to provide aid for the client you meet.
