Sort Books
Would you like to share your love of books? Have just a little time to give? Join the East Bay Children's Book Project to sort books for donation to under-resourced children.
The East Bay Children's Book Project is dedicated to improving literacy by providing free books to professionals who work with children in need. In just under 5 years, they have given away almost a half million books.
They are seeking help every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, organizing the donated books for clients.
While in middle-income neighborhoods the ratio of age appropriate books per child is 13 to one, in low-income neighborhoods the ratio is one for every 300 children.
