Lights, Camera, Action! Come Support KQED's TV Pledge Drive

Join other Coming of Age members as we go on live TV on Saturday, June 15th from 6pm to 9pm to support public broadcasting in Northern California and to help Coming of Age create awareness of our organization and programs.

The TV pledge drives are KQED's most important fundraising effort and Coming of Age volunteers will help by answering phones and recording pledges.

And for bringing in a group, we'll get some on-air promotion, including verbal acknowledgements, camera pans of our volunteers, table signs and an on-air graphic slide.

Plus, all volunteers will receive a complimentary meal prior to our shift provided by a local restaurant, and drinks and snacks throughout the evening.

Support Women Entrepreneurs in the Bay Area

For 25 years, the Women's Initiative for Self Employment (WISE) has provided high-potential, low-income women with the training, funding and ongoing support to start their own businesses and become financially self sufficient.

The women who went through our program significantly increased their income and assets while launching businesses, creating jobs and stimulating the local economy.

We have urban hubs in San Francisco and Oakland to serve women throughout the Bay Area.

WISE is currently recruiting volunteers for a wide range of responsible positions. Please review the following and apply to talk with us and learn more.

Welcome Visitors to San Francisco

For more than 100 years the San Francisco Travel Association has worked to promote San Francisco as the destination of choice for conventions and leisure travel. The Association is an outgrowth of the San Francisco Convention and Tourist League, a non-profit, local business association founded in 1909 to reclaim the City's position as a world-class destination in the wake of the devastating 1906 earthquake and fire. San Francisco Travel continues that mission today, marketing and selling San Francisco to attract visitors.

As a Greeter for the SF Travel Association you will be the first point of contact for visitors at the Visitor Information Center. The Greeter will actively welcome visitors as they enter, determine their needs and point them towards the correct location within our center to get the help they need.
