Be a part of the Meals On Wheels Clean Team! --Saturday, June 16th

Many Meals On Wheels of San Francisco (MOWSF) homebound seniors find housework to be difficult, if not impossible, on their own. Want to interact with our homebound seniors and make an impact on their lives? Here is your opportunity to do so, as a one-time meaningful and important gesture! Believe me, when you finish your 3 hour home-cleaning session, you will be smiling ear to ear! June 16th from 9am until 1pm.

Produce Market Volunteer

The San Francisco Aquatic Park Senior Center is starting a new program in June. It will be a Seniors-only produce market that will sell produce at whole sale prices.

This is a chance to help bring nutritional, fresh produce to area seniors and to interact with others in a fun environment.

The produce market hours will be on Mondays from 12 – 1 pm.

On Tuesday, May 15 at 1:00 pm we will have a meeting at the Aquatic Park Senior Center for people interested in volunteering for the market. It will introduce them to our sponsors and explain the many volunteer positions we’ll need.

Volunteer at the U.S. Open Golf Tournament and Support LBFE!

LBFE is a non-profit organization that works to relieve isolation and loneliness among the elderly in San Francisco. By working at the 7th green concession stand at the U.S. Open, you will help earn funds for LBFE.

Build Computer Skills and Help Improve Quality of Life for Older Adults in SF!

Family Service Agency of San Francisco is looking for volunteers to administer a quality of life questionnaire via touch screen iPads to low income, older adults attending meal programs in San Francisco. The aims of the project are two fold: 1) Have the participant assess their quality of life and determine if there are any services in the community they could benefit from and, 2) Increase comfort of using computers for those with low computer literacy.
